User How To Guide

How to enter your time
Time is entered via the Daily View page.  Select Daily View from the TimeReporting menu.

If the date is not the date for which you want to enter time, click the correct date on the calendar.

Click the start time on the time bar and you'll be taken to the Time Entry page with start time and end time filled in for you.

If the start time and end time are not correct, select new times from the drop-down lists.  Only non-conflicting times will appear in these lists.

Select the Customer, Project, and Task for the work that was performed.

Describe the work that was done in the Task Details box.

If a task is repetitive in nature, you enter the number of days to repeat this particular time entry.

Please note that when you specify that "This task completes the time entries for the payroll period mm/dd/yyyy - mm/dd/yyyy", your time sheet will be closed with your electronic signature and is available for supervisory review and approval.

Upon saving the time entry, you'll be returned to the Daily View page which displays all saved time entries for that particular day.

How to review your timesheet
At the end of a payroll period, it's a good idea to review your timesheet before signing it.

If all you want to do is review the total hours by category, day, and week, you can use Payroll View from the TimeReporting menu.  This produces a report similar to the one below.

To review the total hours by category, day, and week with the option of seeing the details for any day in that week, use Weekly View.

Weekly View shows you categorized hours totaled by day and week.  Clicking on any day's column on this page will take you to the detailed time entries for that day and from there you can make changes or add forgotten entries.
How to sign your timesheet
At the end of each payroll period, you have to sign your timesheet.  You can do that in either of two ways in TimeReporting.com.

The first way to sign your timesheet is through the Weekly View.  Select WeeklyView from the TimeReporting menu.

Make sure the proper week is shown.  If necessary, select a different week from the drop-down list or click on the '>' symbol next to the desired week on the calendar.

Check the box labeled "My timesheets for the payroll period mm/dd/yyyy - mm/dd/yyyy are complete" and click the SAVE button.

Please note that when you specify that "my timesheets for the payroll period mm/dd/yyyy - mm/dd/yyyy are complete" your time sheet will be closed with your electronic signature and is available for supervisory review and approval.

The second way to sign your timesheet is by using the Time Entry page.  Remember that you get to the Time Entry page by way of the Daily View.

After entering the information about your final time entry of the payroll period via Time Entry, check the box labeled "This task completes the time entries for the payroll period mm/dd/yyyy - mm/dd/yyyy" and then click SAVE to record the time entry and sign your timesheet.
How to change your password
To change your password, select User Options from the TimeReporting menu.

Enter your new password and confirm it by entering it a second time where indicated.  Note that your current password will not be displayed and that your new password will appear as asterisks (*) when typing it.

Click SAVE to record your new password.
