Use this page to set up your projects. Once you define a project, you can also use this function to define tasks for the project.
To add a new project to this list, select the ADD A NEW RECORD button. When adding a new project, enter the project information and select the INSERT button to save it.
To modify or delete an existing project, click the SELECT area to the left of the name of the desired project. Then update the project information and SAVE it or click the DELETE button.
To add a task to this project, click ADD PROJECT TASK.
To edit a task or remove it from the project, click the name of the task. Edit and SAVE the information or click DELETE.
To export this list of projects to an Excel spreadsheet, click the EXPORT TO EXCEL button.
To limit the list of items shown in this list, apply a filter. Select a column to filter on from the FILTER FOR drop-down list. Then enter a value for that column in the box next to the "=" sign. The asterisk (*) wildcard character is allowed. The asterisk means that 0 or more characters are allowed in that position. For example, to list all of your projects that have the word "consulting" in their name, you would enter: *consulting*.
If the page you are using allows you to filter by "Active" status, you may enter values such as True, Yes, Y, False, No, or N.
To sort this list, click on the header label of the column you want to sort by. This sorts the column in ascending order. Clicking that same column a second time will sort the column in descending order. |

Use this page to create or change a task for the selected project. Once you define and save a task, you can use this function to assign a team(s) to work on the task.
By default, all teams are assigned to work on every task. To assign a specific team to this task, click ADD TEAM.
To modify or remove a team that is already assigned to this task, click the name of the team. Edit and SAVE the information or click DELETE.
Fields: Project The project that you are working with is shown in this box.
Task Code Enter a short name for this task.
Task Detail Enter a description of the task.
Payroll Task Check this box if this task is one for which the employee will be paid.
Qualifies for OT Check this box if this task is one for which overtime can be paid.
Capital Project Check this box if this task is for a capital project.
Billable Check this box if time spent on this task is billable to your customer.
Billing Rate If this task is billable, enter the rate per hour that the customer will be billed for time spent on this task.
Max Allowed Hours If you want to limit the number of hours recorded against this task enter the hours limit here and check the PREVENT ENTRIES AT MAX box below.
Prevent Entries at Max If you want to limit the number of hours recorded against this task check this box and enter the hours limit above in MAX ALLOWED HOURS.
Active Task Uncheck this box if you no longer want to allow employees to record time against this task.
