Payroll Codes

Use this page to maintain the list of payroll codes. TimeReporting is delivered with a set of common payroll codes. You can choose to use or not use any of these payroll codes. In addition, you can say whether a paricular payroll code represents paid or unpaid time. For example, if your company policy is pay employees for time spent serving on juries, you can configure the Jury Duty payroll code to be paid time.

You can also add your own payroll codes. To add a new payroll code to this list, select the ADD A NEW RECORD button. When adding a new payroll code, enter the payroll code information and select the INSERT button to save it.

To modify or delete an existing payroll code, click the SELECT area to the left of the name of the desired payroll code. Then update the information and SAVE it or click the DELETE button. Rather than delete a payroll code however, it might be preferrable to set the payroll code to not active in case you later decide to use that payroll code.

To export this list of payroll codes to an Excel spreadsheet, click the EXPORT TO EXCEL button.

To limit the list of items shown in this list, apply a filter. Select a column to filter on from the FILTER FOR drop-down list. Then enter a value for that column in the box next to the "=" sign. The asterisk (*) wildcard character is allowed. The asterisk means that 0 or more characters are allowed in that position. For example, to list all of your payroll codes that have the word "jury" in their name, you would enter: *jury*.
