Customers






 
Use this page to define all your customers. There must be at least one customer. By default you will see your company name as a customer. This will allow you to track time for your internal projects and tasks, such as marketing, support, sales and so forth. To track time that your company spends for your clients, enter a complete list of customers.

To add a new customer to this list, select the ADD A NEW RECORD button. When adding a new customer, enter the customer information and select the INSERT button to save the information.

To export this list of customers to an Excel spreadsheet, click the EXPORT TO EXCEL button.

To limit the list of items shown in this list, apply a filter. Select a column to filter on from the FILTER FOR drop-down list. Then enter a value for that column in the box next to the "=" sign. The asterisk (*) wildcard character is allowed. The asterisk means that 0 or more characters are allowed in that position. For example, to list all of your customers that have the word "consulting" in their name, you would enter: *consulting*.

If the page you are using allows you to filter by "Active" status, you may enter values such as True, Yes, Y, False, No, or N.

To modify or delete an existing customer, click the SELECT area to the left of the name of the desired customer.

You may configure TimeReporting to allow your customers to login and run reports for projects being worked on for them. To set up a customer user account, click the SELECT area to the left of the name of the desired customer. On the subsequent page click ADD LOGIN.

To sort this list, click on the header label of the column you want to sort by. This sorts the column in ascending order. Clicking that same column a second time will sort the column in descending order.
